Enhancements for Tradeflow were released January 14, 2016 for
the Restricted Party Screening feature. Please read below for
details about the enhancements.
There are two places in Tradeflow where a user can execute a
restricted party screening, both of which will see changes:
Trade Partner Centre
Trade Reference Centre
Trade Partner Centre - Restricted Party
Screening
The below image shows how the screening results will now look
in the Trade Partner Centre when the user first arrives at the
page. Refer to these numbers on the image to understand the changes:
There is now a date legend (DD/MM/YYYY) to
make it clear the date format used (for example, 12/11/2015
is November 12, 2015).
The screening results are now collapsed into
smaller rows at first, whenever there are several results.
When there are just a few results, the results will default
to being auto-expanded. In either case, there is an
“Expand All” and “Collapse All” for users to modify the view
quickly.
The check box to select specific results will
be available in the collapsed view. This provides users a
quick way to select one or more matched results, if it is
clear that the result should be selected and flagged as a
match.
Figure 1: Restricted
Party Screen Results
When the results are expanded, users will see additional changes
in how each result is structured. The example below illustrates
the changes:
The AKA (Name alias, “Also Known As”) results
have been moved up to just under the name in each result.
The AKAs are other names that the restricted party has used.
By positioning them right under the primary name, it will
allow users to better understand the identity of the result
presented.
The Address fields are laid out horizontally
to allow for easier viewing of multiple addresses.
When a restricted party has multiple addresses,
these will now show up under one result, instead of being
listed as separate results. This allows users to review one
result as a whole and make a decision on it. The addresses
will be listed one after another, going top to bottom within
the result.
The List
field is not yet activated, and will be available at a later
date. It will show for the screening country which list the
result is on.
Figure 2: Results
On the Find Trade Partner
page, there are two new fields available to users. Both of these
fields are searchable, sortable, and extractable. Users can use
them to prioritize their review of trade partners in the Pending
Review status:
No. of Screening
Results – will indicate how many individual screening
results the trade partner has on the Restricted
Party Screening Results tab.
Max Screening
Score – will show the highest score that exists in
the screening results, which will also be the first trade
partner shown at the top of the results (current Tradeflow
behavior).
|
Note:
These two new fields will also be added to the Global
saved search of “Screened, Pending Review”, for all users
to see. |

Trade Reference Centre - Restricted Party
Screening
Most of the changes, as seen in the Trade Partner Centre screening
results, will also be reflected in the Trade Reference Centre.
The only change noted above in the Trade Partner Centre section,
which is not available in the Trade Reference Centre, is #3 (the
check box for each result, since the TRC does not record a user’s
determination of match/no-match).
The first thing users will notice in the Trade Reference Centre
is in the input page, where the user enters the party’s name to
be screened:
All the fields are now much wider, to show
the entire amount of text that can be entered into each field
(without having to left or right arrow key your cursor across
the field). This includes even the Country drop-down
menu, in order to clearly see the longest of country names.
Figure 4: Input
Fields
The next image shows the screening results in the Trade Reference
Centre. As noted above, most of the same changes for the Trade
Partner Centre are also present in the Trade Reference Centre.
The only other change in this page is the change in the buttons
at the top right of the page:
Back
will take the user to the previous screening input page while
also retaining all of the selections and entered text from
the screening that was just executed.
New
Screening will return to the screening input page, but
reset all the values back to their default starting point.

Additional changes to the
Restricted Party Screening feature will be introduced in 2016.
