Enhancements for Tradeflow Product Management Centre were released in October 2019. Please read below for details about the enhancements.

Product Management Centre – "Type" Changes to "Product Type"

The field previously labeled Type has been changed to Product Type.  There are three values available for this field, which remain unchanged by the field label change:

• Single

• Choice

• Set

The upload format has not changed and still uses Type. Any searches you have saved with the Type field will automatically use Product Type from now on.

Product Management Centre – New "Set Type" Field

A new field called Set Type will be active if Product Type has Set selected.  The Set Type field allows users to select the specific type of Set that is applicable to each product ID.  

For products with a Classification Country of United States, there are multiple options.  Most of these options relate to a specific category of U.S. Customs Sets.  For example, one option is Chapter 98/99, which applies whenever there is an HS code in the chapters 98 or 99 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule that is selected, along with at least another HS code in chapters 1 through 97.

For products with a Classification Country/Union other than the United States, the only option available at this time is Customer Defined.

There are several ways that users can update the Set Type field – one at a time by editing a product, or several at a time via a batch process with a Mass Update or Upload file.  For the Mass Update, the Set Type field must be configured into the search fields first.  For the Upload option, a new field ID (143) was introduced on the basic CSV upload file.  Uploading with CSV requires a single-character/digit code that is listed in the upload guide.  For any user uploading via XML, the field attribute is called <ComplexType>, which maps into the Set Type field.
