exp.o Booking September 2012 What's New

Enhancements for exp.o Booking were released September 25, 2012.  Read below for details about the enhancements.

Enhancements to Ocean Bookings

These enhancements allow Expeditors to provide you more information about the status and routing details of your Ocean bookings.

Ocean Demo

The exp.o Booking Demonstration Center now includes an Ocean demo that goes over the process of creating an Ocean booking.

Additional Summary Information - Created/Last Modified By & Transportation Details Panel

After you submit an ocean booking, the summary page now shows who created the booking and the last time the booking was modified. It also includes a Transportation Details panel that shows your preferred routing details in light gray and italics. Once Expeditors has confirmed booking the shipment, the details will appear in black. Any confirmed routing details which are different from the customer's preference will appear in bolded black.

Additional Ocean Booking Statuses

Two new statuses have been added to give you more visibility to your ocean booking.

• Pending Expeditors Action - Expeditors is in the process of reviewing the exp.o Booking request.

• Confirmed - Expeditors has booked the shipment and confirmed the shipping details.

You can filter on these new booking statuses on the Home Page using the Booking Status drop-down list.

Other Ocean Booking Enhancements

• The Special Instructions field has been renamed to Pickup Instructions (will print on SLI), which appears when Expeditors arrange pickup is Yes.

• The Notes field in the Instructions for Expeditors section has been named to Special Instructions.

• The Port of Receipt field has been renamed to Place of Receipt.

• The Port of Delivery field has been renamed to Place of Delivery.
